Can you have an irregular heartbeat every other day?

I was wondering..I don't really know about irregular heartbeats but does anyone know if they can come and go from day to day.. Somedays my heart feels like its beating one way and on other days it feels almost like a washing machine that is off balance. I was curious if anyone knew if you had irregular heartbeat wouldn't it be the same all the time..

Also does anyone else feel their body shaking with their heartbeat and also at night I can feel my heartbeat all over my neck..Like the sides and the back of the head bounces back and forth with it.. Anyone else have this

What you're describing are benign palpitations and they're induced via stimulation of the heart by the vagus nerve as a consequence of stress and/or anxiety. Realize that these sensations are not associated with any type of pathological arrhythmia, but more akin to a muscle twitch.

The reason that the pattern varies is directly relevant to the status of the nervous system at any given time. Understand that it's not the sort of situational anxiety that most people can relate to, but rather a level sufficient to induce a physiological response. Palpitations of this type are extremely common.

The heart is an extremely dynamic and powerful muscle as much as it is an organ. It can easily cause motion of the body to occur, particularly when lying down on a bed that by design, yields easily to movement. It is not a sign of trouble whatsoever and reductions in stress and anxiety will result in a corresponding reduction in the palpitation events.

Hi RLR.. thanks for answering.. So all the beats I feel in the neck and back of head is normal?I also have pulsative tinnitus and can hear my heartbeat..Cause is Eustachian tube dysfunction. Anyway lately my heart sounds normal in my ears most days lub dub but somedays it sounds like a washing machine out of balance.. Im not sure im just perceiving it this way but sure sounds like it..and also corresponds to feeling my heartbeat like a washing machine out of balance..

Also the info you posted here ,does this cover the other question i had about gas too? Please respond .. thanks for being so kind..It sure makes me feel better..

Was wondering if anyone else feels their pulse in the back of the head and neck ,can anyone feel this too when laying down at night?

I can feel my pulse every where, with my finger, but you can also hear/feel your pulse in your head.

Yes, it started about five years ago after moving to an altitude of almost a mile and one half above sea level. I went to the doctors and then to a specialist that could not find anything other than what I mentioned about the tubes getting stopped up.

Then when we moved back down to about sea level it disappeared for about five months and then as allergy season came in and the weather changed I started hearing it again. Has something to do with my ears stopping up and then not opening back.. I always hoped it would go away and I guess with surgery I could get them fixed I guess but I don't want surgery .. so I guess Ill suffer.. But at night sometimes when laying flat I can feel my pulse bouncing my head back and forth and also feel my pulse in my neck if it touches my shirt or the pillow. I have almost always been able to feel my pulse in weird places at random times.. but this other is something new to me I guess or maybe I just started noticing it.
