Well yes, being as all other tests have proved negative, IBS has been suspected.

Sadly, Buscopan or Mebeverine have proved uneffective.

I was talking to a Crohn's nurse about this today and the biggest thing that will help is diet!

Might be worth looking into that.

I am on low fibre diet.

Just a thought Horse, but have you tried Fybogel? Or try getting hold of a celloid mineral called magnesium phosphate, which has allowed me to pack in the mebeverine

Yes, I have been told keep off the high fibre.

The added problem is that I also have Coeliac Disease but I've had this for about 15 years and therefore maintain a strict gluten free diet.

Another avenue is the fact that I had my Gallbladder removed about 18 months ago and it could be scar tissure (I hope not).

There is also Slippery Elm as an idea but you never know what effects it will have on medication or other stuff.

However, it's a pain in the arse!

I nearly stopped breathing I laughed so much - now my middle aches. Having had one of these myself your description is apt - you obviously weren't given the prep called fleet! someone named that with a wicked sense of humour. Its the strongest one they use and within 15 mins of downing it you spend next 4 hrs literally sat on the loo - you have to make sure you take your drinks in with you as there is no way you can get more than two feet from toilet - I think that must be what Nicola had. then 12 hrs later you do it all again.

I would also pay to read one of your posts every day - please write a book.

    Countrygirl,
They did actually send me the 'fleet' first of all and I opened the packet fortunately a week before and said 'No way.'

I couldn't get the smell out of my nose all day. Horrid stuff.

Funny you should mention about a book.
I started writing a synopsis with regards a book about a Psychotherapist who gets shipwrecked on an island full of lunatics last year. Obviously it is comedy based, but also has many poignant and touching stories included. I have 'shelved' it for the time being, but will open it again one day, maybe soon, as long as I find a publisher.

    Horse

I've been laughing so much, the tears are streaming down my face and my husband really does think I've lost it !!!!!
You have an amazing sense of humour of which I've sampled in the chatroom and yes, yes, yes - you need to continue with that book. It you cant get a publisher to take it, get some copies printed yourself and I'm sure you could sell them on here.
I'll place your first order. There, now you've got to finish it!!!!
    Speak to you soon
