Kidney issue or back issue or IBS?

I have had this sort of pain in my left back area, between the spine and the ribs. It doesnt always seem to hurt, depends on how I am sitting.

There is no pain when peeing, I also had a urine test about a week ago and although it showed some abnormalities, there were some ketones but no sign of a uti or blood.

    Any ideas?

If I arch my back backwards then the pain seems to go away mostly, If i sit forward or similar then the pain is there, from what I understand with kidney pain it would be constant and not just depending on where you move or sit.

Re: Kidney issue or back issue or IBS?

Hi, it sounds like muscular pain to me, I get the same and I also get continuous water infections and I must admit the pains can be similar, but as you say if it was a bad kidney infection the pain would be continuous.I suggest you try and check your posture when sitting as mine seems to come on when I have been lounging around. Hope this helps.
