3 weeks on fluoxetine

hi,ive been on fluoxetine for 3 weeks now.last week i kinda started to feel a little more level headed. - the past three days have been real flat again,very tired,and everything is tinged with blackness.almost back to stage one again.does this ring true with anyone else? -is this what they do,or do you reckon my dosge isnt enough?(20mg per day) - just thought id throw this at you,and see what replies i get back.mike.

I'm afraid you just have to be a bit patient here.... Fluoxetine is quite slow to get to the brain so I have read, and can take 4-6 weeks to start taking effect. The data I've read suggests that there is nothing to be gained from increasing the dose of fluoxetine above 20 mg.

it took a good 2-3 months to kick in for me, it felt like i was getting worse before i got better - hang in there it will work just takes time

I have been on this for 6 weeks now and I feel a tiny bit better - but I still see everything as negative. My Dr told me not to expect results for a couple of months. Its a long process. Hang on in there, it will get better.
