I've lost my sense of taste

    Hi

I'm new to this site, I've looked for the answer to my question but can't find one, even so I'm sorry if this one had come up before:

I have been on citalopram for 7 days and apart from the constant headache I seem to have lost my sense of taste. I rarely drink coffee but have tried it because tea doesn't taste of anything and the coffee was disgusting. Also I don't feel hungry any more. I don't mind because I could do with losing some weight but the leaflet doesn't seem to mention taste. Has anyone else had this?

Not taste but loss of appetite yes. It should pass, it's probably just a side effect. If it carrys on though go back and see your doctor.
