My Home

When the storms disappear to the east,
And the calm inside me stills the haunting beast,
I will think of the house where I grew,
Where there was security and comfort in the home I knew,

Where there was fun and laughter that filled my heart,
When with my family I was a part,
In perfect union with love surrounding,
Every day looked to with the happiness they would bring,

No worries, no anxieties, no sense of future uncertainties,
When life was simple, uncomplicated and free,
Wishing to return to a warm secure happy life,
Miles away from all my stresses and strife.
