    Good way of thinking about health fears

    I was talking to the Doctor today about my health anxiety. I said that i always think the worst whenever i get a symptom and the doctor said that some people tend to do that.

    He asked if i liked football.....to which i said yes. He said Its like your football team if they have a poor start to the season. You automatically think they are going to get relegated and its all doom and gloom when infact they might just not win the league or not make Europe.

    I thought that was a cool way of looking at it and made me feel a bit better.

    ive got one to add too-

    '' worrying is like sitting in a rocking chair. you can rock away all day but it wont get you anywhere!! ''

    i always think back to that one.
