What if I started at 5mg??

I was prescribed 10mg of Citalopram and am very worried about the side effects. I was wondering if I started at 5mg and went up to 10mg in a week or so, would that reduce the side effects? Has anyone done this?

I've been on Citalopram for years. I've no side effects that I'm aware of.

If your Doc has recommended starting at 10mg, I think you should trust his advice. If you do feel any side effects you can't cope with, go back to the Doc. Please don't try adjusting the levels for yourself.
