    lowering dosage of citalopram

    Hi girls and guys

Well its been ages since ive been on here, as life has been goin great for me, new man in my life now and he treats me and my kids brilliantly.

I was on 40mg of citalopram for about 9 weeks but i started to get dizzy alot and unstable and i was worried as i had the children to look after, so doctor advised me to lower dosage to 30mg for a couple of weeks which i did.

After one week of goin down to 20mg i am startin to feel a little edgey again and wakin up early in the mornings, with the nervous/excitment feelin in my tummy?

is this normal and how long before it all settles down, i really don't want myself goin downhill again, do u think i should mention it to my doctor or should i go back up to 30mg?

    Please advise

    Thanks xxx

    Hi jen,

Really glad lifes going great for you, new man in your life lucky you I really am pleased for you.

I would speak to your gp because maybe you need to be back on 30mg and maybe your not ready to be back on 20mg just yet. If 30mg did the job I would probably stay on that dose for a while x
