Im new here. Im suffering really badly from health anxiety at the moment, it seems endless. Ive been for counselling and im on 75mg of effexor for the past six weeks but so far i feel no real lift. At the moment im fixated on melanoma. I have about thirty moles/freckles and did sunbeds when i was younger and all my moles look wierd to me. Ive had the doctor look at them and she wasnt overly concerned with any of them, but is removing one she feels could cause problems in the future. I was more worried about another one which was not perfectly symmetrical and the border on one side is slightly blurred. She was not worried about this and although for peace of mind she referred me to a dermo, i will have to wait almost a year as i wont be viewed as a priority case. I have become fixated on this mole and thought it had a slight bump on the corner of it, like a tiny blocked pore so i squeezed it the other day and now its obviously wierd looking as ive messed with it and a tiny piece of the mole is removed. Ive done things like this before, i get scared about something and then sabbotage myself even more....
I feel like a freakDoes anyone else do these kind of things?
