5HTP vs. St. johns wort ??

Hi,

Looking for peoples opinions on 5htp and st. johns wort for anxiety?

I have been taking 5HTP for around a year on and off now, I have found it to help but recently it has not been as effective.

Was thinking off stopping it and giving SJW a try.

Anybody tried both of these ? Any opinions on what was more effective ?

Hi I took St Johns Wart for 6 months and found it more effective than the tablets given to me by the GP.

This time I am trying 5htp and dont find it as good as St Johns Wart however I have found several sites that say you can take both but in low doseage......I might try that.

I have taken 5 HTP for many years and it has helped me with my anxiety. Added St Johns Wort to the mix when I had a bout of depression after trying SSRI's and Mirtazapine and it worked a treat.

Much less anxious and no depression anymore.
