Coming off Cital after 2 years on 20mg

This sounds really positive. I did exactly the same tapered off really slowly. I got to the point where I was at 2.5mg but was gradually starting to feel ill again. So with docs advice I'm back at 10 and feel pretty good most of the time. Fingers crossed you get off it completely. Xx

I am new to this site I suppose it is in desperation more then anything else. I have done everything by the book a slow taper and then six months later I go into freefall. I was wondering would hypnotherapy be any good in this situation or has anybody tried this? I wasn't born with a mental illness and only started to take Citalopram as I was a shift worker who couldn't sleep. Now I am pretty sure that I am stuck with this medication for life as I have been on and off for the past 15 years. I wish to God that I had never taken one these little tablets I have only ever been on 10mg. It is really upsetting when people go to there doctors in good faith and require a little help and then end up zombies. Reading some of these stories is very disturbing, I know exactly what people are going through and I would not wish it on my worse enemy.

I’ve been on cotalopram 20mg for 2 years, I ran out over Christmas and since I’ve just moved to my dream home, Christmas was looking amazing, my partner and I were really happy I thought “I don’t need those anymore, I’m fine!” Wrong! I’ve never been any further from fine! I stopped completely the beginning of january..im anxious, forgetful, unmotivated, paranoid, afraid, restless, can’t be arsed to do anything or speak to anyone, angry, sad! I haven’t seen my doctor since I haven’t collected my prescription..what should I do? Do I just go and see him and say soz, I thought I was ok, I’m really not ok, can I have some tablets please? Lol! Help!

I feel great
Don't feel like a zombie any longer.
I used to be zombie-like from morning to late afternoon.
Now I feel more energized, positive and focused.
I think 10mg my just be the ideal therapeutic dosage for me.
