DAY 5 on 5mg
Still feel OK.
DAY 5 on 5mg
Still feel OK.
That's good news, I am seeing my GP on Thursday I think he might suggest I start coming off, I am a bit worried about it but hopefully once the withdrawal effects are over I'll be back to normal, I've been on 20mg since last July.
As long as you reduce by 5mg per month, you'll be ok
I am starting to come off 20mg Citalopram and I am going to follow your advice. Seems a very sensible way to approach things.
Thank you Mark, it sounds like the best way,
I have just come back from the GP, he said it was entirely up to me if I started to come off, well I have got to do it sometime, so I am going to give it a go, 15 mg from tomorrow, he said to go down to 10 but after reading your messages I said I would prefer to try 15, so 15 for a month then 10 for a month, then 5, if at anytime I feel I am not coping I have to go back, I do really want to come off of them now but I don't want to go to how I was before.
DAY 12 on 5mg
Still OK.
Will change to 5mg every other day, from next Monday.
I am so glad things are going so well for you, it certainly gives me encouragement to take the same road, I am now on day day 6 of 15mg and so far so good
cmc46 that's great to hear!
I'm not having the best of mornings today, but you just get on with it - I know it won't last for long. Got a headache and feel shattered, hard to concentrate. But once I get my lunch I should be fine.
Please don't get tempted to rush reducing your dosage, I tried that a few years ago and it was terrible.
Take it nice and easy and you will be fine.
