DAY 14 on 5mg

Din't sleep well last night, feel shattered today. Pounding headache, feeling tired, a bit dizzy. Taken 2 Aspirin about an hour ago, feeling much better.
Think I'll be having an early night tonight.

Well done Mark. I did the same withdrawal programe as you and it works. Just one thing at the end I went down to 2.5mgs for a month and then every other day for a month. That last step of "nothing" is quite strange!

Hi Sarah,

I didn't realise that you could go to as low a dosage as 2.5mg.
I am using Cit in tablet form and it's difficult to cut them down to 5mg size.
How did you manage it or were you on the liquid form of Cit?

Well I got to 20 days on 5mg and felt ok.
However the last couple of days have been bad, so I've went back up to 10mg for the time being. I'll stay on 10mg for a couple of weeks then try again with the 5mg.

Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Sorry to hear that Mark, I am on my 3rd week of 15 mg so another week to go and then down to 10, I won't mind if I stay on 10 for a bit at least I am half way there, hope you have better luck next time.

I am pretty sure you can get 5mg tablets!. I then cut them with a very sharp knife. And then crumbled them. Be careful with the final last step. Even suggest taking little crumbs every 3 days as that last step is the strangest one

I felt great for 6 months after coming off. In fact "alive" but my anxiety came back with a vengance at about 8 months and when I tried to go back on Cit I could not stand the start up side effects. CPN told me that it can happen sometimes so beware!!!!. I wish now I had stayed on 5mgs for the rest of my life (I suffer from PTSD). because now I have had a spell in hospital and am now on pregabalin which has weird side effects.
