    Pulse strength and exercise

    Hi all,

I've noticed over the last few days after exercising the pulse in my wrist becomes far weaker (almost none existent) for a period of about 5-10 minutes or so. When checking the pulse in my neck it is reasonably fast and very strong during this same period...Does anyone know what might cause this variation?

silly question but shouldnt the pulse be same anywhere on your body.

Also, if the wrist pulse is really that weak, do your wrists feel numb or cold?

Its more likely that the exercise causes movement of veins deeper under your skin so the pulse appears weaker when in reality it may not be so...

Your blood is being diverted to the parts of your body that need it during exercise, eg. your lungs / leg muscles etc. Not much need for it in your hands.
