    Post D&C follow up?

    Hi everyone,

my mam who is mid fifties went to the doctor a while ago to have a coil removed, it was well and truly time for it to come out, but she had a tiny bit of bleeding, before she had it removed, and mentioned this to the doctor as she is post menopause and she just wanted it checked.

The doctor wasnt worried but said she should go for a check up and that they may do a d&c, which they did. The doctor who did the check up and d&c said everything looked fine, but she would have a follow up appointment in six weeks.

Well the appointment came yesterday morning for eight weeks away, but does anyone who might have had this done know what happens at this follow up to d&c appointment? Is it just for a chat about results or is it another examination?

    thanks

    Hi
I've had a d&c done a few times, the check up could well be an examination but doesn't take long and it's just to check that everything is ok, it's very routine so please try not to worry.
