    MRI Scan is clear

    Hi,

Some of you may know that I've been waiting for an MRI brain scan, due to light-sided temporal pain and constant light headedness (6 weeks). Results just back and it's all normal. He basically said anxiety is a powerful thing, and now I must try and not focus on my health. He said I'm fit and healthy, and there is nothing untoward going on. He also said that although they focus on the brain, if there had of been any ear issues it would show in the scan too, same with eyes etc. So he ruled out any ear fluid problems etc..and it's definitely not MS.

The only thing the consultant found is my blood pressure changes when I stand up from sitting down, he said it's benign and nothing to worry about. I told him about my eye floaters, but he didn't comment..so I'm presuming anxiety maybe makes them worse too. I've had my eyes checked anyway..so had a complete MOT on my top half!

I hope people struggling with similar symptoms read this, and that it gives you hope in that generally it really is your anxiety playing with you! I feel so much better now, I can't believe how powerful the mind is. Everytime I get bad dizzy spells, i'm going to look at my scan result and shrug it off and hopefully carry on with life..

    Hope this helps someone....

    Cheers for listening

    Great news!

By the way, my blood pressure also changes when I stand from a sitting position. It has been commented on several times by medical people, and I have been told that is is absolutely nothing to worry about.
