Ibs pain feel like period cramps?

I have ibs "I hope" as I have an achy stomach which feels kinda like a achy/colicy bowel.. My period finished on thursday so it's not period pain, but the crampy pain is so low in my stomach it feels period like.. I have been on iron for 3 wks which prob isn't helping as I know it can be hard on the tum, so does ibs feel like period pain?

have you been diagnosed with ibs? are you sure it isnt just a bug that will eventually go? its best to get things confirmed by the doctor. I went and bought buscopan and my doc told me not to take it as i only had gastroenteritis and it would pass on its own, id confirm my symptoms with the doc first spesh if you are in pain xx

I have no idea if I have any sort of ibs, but I get that period like pain when my stomach's playing up. It's horrible I just wait for it to pass though.

It sounds like IBS to me, but I agree with the others best get it checked, could just be trapped wind. I was rushed to a&e once with suspected appendicitis and it was trapped wind :-o it can be very painful
