    fluoxetine sedative affect?

Every day I feel tired and exhausted, my doc said the fluoxetine can cause a sedative affect, before taking the tablets I was tired anyway from the anxiety but now even more so, like I feel like falling asleep every day.

    Re: fluoxetine sedative affect?

From my experience fluoxetine has the opposite effect and causes insomnia, but I guess it could cause sedative effects also. However sometimes with medication such as these these sorts of effects wear off as your body gets used to the drug, thats what my GP told me.
