Small pea sized lump on neck

For the past 4 weeks i have had a small pea sized lump in the middle of my neck it is not painful to touch but i am conscious of it as it is something people could see if they closely, i keep messing with it and of couse i know that this is not going to help it heal. I am now worried though that it could be cancerous or a problem with my thyroid. I sometimes feel i have a lump too in my throat but i have put this down to being anxious about this and other things. Can anybody help.

I have booked a doctors appointment for 2 weeks time but now feel maybe i should go earlier than that but i also don't want them thinking i am wasting their time.

I agree probably just a gristle lump but bet to be safe.

Hi there, it's sounds like it could be a swollen lymph gland, have you had a cold or infection lately, i get these all the time and always panic, i know it's hard but try not to touch it till your doctor's appointment, i bet your life it would of disappered or have decreased in size by the time you see him.
