    bladder control/nerves not working!

    Hi,

I have been having problems with controling my bladder for 4 weeks now, I had went to my gp with sample to rule out infection, result is clear, I explained, that when I sit up from lying down, I have to rush to ladies room, and when I stand up from sitting, I have to rush to ladies room. plus when I'm out and about, there's no warning, all off a sudden, I have to rush. it's awful.

I found out today that the nerves that send signals to my brain are not sending the signals in time. I dont have that early warning sign anymore.

my gp has given me tablets to help with this, start them tomorrow when my dosset box from the chemist comes.

dose anyone know of anything that I can do to help myself from rushing to ladies room. I would appreciate any idea's, thanks.

    Yvonne

    Hey Yvonne

My m-i-l has this problem - will pick her brain when I see her over the weekend and let you know if she has any handy hints.

Hi Yvonne. I'm sure you're not alone with this. There are exercises you can do to strengthen pelvic muscle tone, which I suspect would help. Nerves control muscle function but can become over-sensitive, hence why people sometimes need the loo when they're anxious, so any strengthening of pelvic muscles is likely to be beneficial. Have a look at this link:

This one is specifically about Kegel Exercise:
