paroxetine wearing off? what will i be like?

I have been thinking my medication paroxetine may be stopping working in the last week. I found this article and slightly worried it might be this regarding paroxetine withdrawal:

Fixed elevating serotonin levels causing the stress hormones cortisol and epinephrine (adrenaline) in the body and mind to activate the adrenal glands. This natural reaction is the way the body to combat the excessive levels of serotonin. This impulse produces a euphoric state and can be seen as a lessening of depression. However, the sustained increase in serotonin can cause adrenal exhaustion, where the Adrenals lose their effectiveness, so the adrenaline goes down, while cortisol increases. Finally, cortisol levels fall and lead to fatigue. Many SSRI users report fatigue, and may take time for the adrenal glands to restore normal levels of adrenaline after discontinuing antidepressants.

I mean the crying has stopped now. And i have had only one panic attack (my first) last week. It hasnt occurred again.

I should point out that my depression only went away about a month ago and if paroxetine stops is it going to return? i developed severe depression and severe social anxiety when i was 8 when my grandpa died. im 23 now. Do you think if i can just whether this storm so to speak and accept the anxiety, my adrenal glands wont burst and it will be ok? the annoying thing is i feel like a much nicer person now, like really compassionate for other people etc. I thought at first that maybe just the exposure work, changing negative beliefs and cbt and meditation might be paying off but now im thinking it is paroxetine withdrawal and then what???????? return to the shit of the past 15 years - please no. Not all that effort to result in nothing.

Being on Paroxetine won't mean you never have a down spell, sadly. I'd just try and weather the storm I'm sure it will pass shortly.

Anti depressants can stop working, usually called "poop out" or "prozac poop out" but there are sooooo many different SSRI's on the market now that your Doc can just move you sideways onto a different one without that problem.

If you get really really worried about your cortisol then it's something that can be checked with a blood test. It's an indicator of stress / depression, I've had mine checked in hospital before.
