scared of dieing @ 32

hi members i went back to my doctors today regards chest twinges and slight pains , she said there muscle pains as i seem av weakness in left side for over ten years now , i had ecg and a 24hr holster test dun dec 2010 wot really scared me is she said today that the ecg shown that my heart skipped a beat and also had sligh raised heart best " so they was meet 1stly beingtold everything was fine and the BANG this :( spent allday cryin scared i gunna die ,, so the doc today said she gave me propranolol 40mg to try see how it goes , and the ocd kicks in strongly keep checking my heart rate and worrying , sorry for my 1st post to be so moaning but genuinely scared and wondered who else having same issures ? kindest regards mark

hi mark im kinda going through a similar thing atm im 22 really paranoid about death, and spend mostof m y time worrying about my heart, checking the beats every couple of hours getting worried when its beating too fast ect ect

i no its anoying me when i said to me doc i was doing this he really didnt come up with an answer apart from said i'm prob making heart beat more because i'm checkin it ,, wish it would go tho :(

I too, had an abnormal ECG reading too. I was sent to a heart specialist who did all kinds of measurement on my heart, including a 24hr holter test in mid-2010. Everything checks out normal.
In Mar 2011, I had my regular healthcheck and an ECG taken. Again, the abnormality is showing again. Apparently my heart beat is taking a short detour from one chamber to the other which cases my heart beat to look like an "M" shape instead of the normal "N". Not sure if this makes sense to you.
And like you, I panicked. However, my doctor said that this is fine so long as the detailed scans and the holter checks out ok. Apparently, some 2% of population have this issue and they are perfectly healthy. I choose to believe her.
Don't worry, you're fine. If your doctors are not making a big issue out of this, it's a good sign that you're really ok. Take care.

yeah thats very true my doctors really tryed hard to asure me to stop worrying and said that he feels confident thats my hearts fine " i just goto tell me head to STOP worrying lol x
