    Citalopram and the 'Deathly Pales'

As well as all the commonly reported side affects that I seem to be suffering with, I am very concerned by the fact that I seem to go incredibly pale from time to time. So pale that people comment on my appearance.

I'm feeling very self conscious about this.

Has anybody else experinced this on Citalopram? Does it go away in time? (I'm in week three of 10mg/day).

Many thanks in advance, any advice would be greatfully received.

My husband told me I've been really pale a few days but I think it's more to do with the lack of sleep rather than a side effect

Re: Citalopram and the 'Deathly Pales'

I remember looking pale whilst taking citalopram but I think it was a more a case of feeling down and withdrawn from society. I look back at pictures at the time and see how poorly I looked, I had a pale complexion with really black eyes (not a happy time!).

Try not to worry about how you look and focus on making yourself busy so that you can push aside any self checking that you are doing.

Hope you start to feel and look better soon.
