    Claustrophobia?

Does this sound like claustrophobic-related anxiety:

Most , if not all, my symptoms either come on or are worse when I'm indoors - when I am out in public, I am ok as long as I'm on a bus or in an open space, but as soon as I set foot in the flat or go in a shop, they start again. A friend said I could have claustrophobia, but isnt that when you are scared of tiny spaces like lifts and cupboards?

Well it does sound like it - I think it probably comes in degrees or forms.

Mine is more very small spaces like lifts but I have to say I am not overly keen on crowds either. Oh and I have another funny one of not liking rooms without windows, some bathrooms are like that and I am not terribly keen.

Think its the same as agroraphobia in that that means fear of the marketplace and now is thought to also mean fear of not being able to escape easily, if so then I have both[:I][}]

    Love Piglet xx

"Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?" said Piglet.
"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.

Well im quite claustrophobic, not as bad as i was, but in the past when i have been really anxious and panicky i can not stay in the house, i have to be out even if its in the garden, so maybe its connected, i'm not sure, as i could never say it was the same feeling as being in a lift or small room,

Im a bit like that. i feel panicky if doors are not left open when I am in a room - its as if closing the door means Im trapped even tho I could go if I wanted to. I never go in lifts and find hot stuffy shops a nightmare so I know what you mean. I think its a form of claustrophobia as its fear of entrapment. Wenjoy x
