can you put another book on the recommended list

    dear NMP

further to my posts on overbreathing/ hyperventilation could you please consider the following book for your recommended list

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...223373-7791852

"Self-Help for Hyperventilation Syndrome: Recognizing and Correcting Your Breathing-Pattern Disorder" by Dinah Bradley at £6.54

I really think that this approach is key to so many anxiety sufferers - really a case of which came first - the anxiety or the breathing dysfunction

its a really practical self help approach that explains and treats so many weird symptoms or sufferes can get a referral to your nhs respiratory physio can help if their GP is willing - if not many areas have a phone or self referral physio service now and they could try asking for a respiratory physio for breathing dysfunction

I'll send a copy of the book if the NMP team want a look

    thanks jos

    Hi Jos,

Yes I agree too and was only thinking this yesterday. It's a brilliant book, I've recommended it to many people and know many people here use it.

    Jackie,

I thought you had this book?, it was the one I recommended ages ago, might be my mistake but I thought you had it. If you have her other book called hyperventilation syndrome by the same author then this one is exactly the same, it's just updated in a few places. The main difference is a few extra case studies really.
