Trouble swallowing

Ive only had this about 4 or 5 times, not in a regular occurence. Tonight was the first time in months. I was lay on the couch and i had some excess phlemgm or spit in my mouth iwent to swallow and i couldnt it was if the reflex had stopped. It lasted about 20 or 30 sevonds and then i could swallow again. Then because of the panic i had a racing.heart and shaking hands.. My mum says its an anxiety thing. I just want any info possible...

hey, i get this a lot to the point where i avoid eating in front of people as i often cant swallow
all part of anxiety hun xx
but remember swallowing is a natural reflex so ur body will always do it even if your brain slows it by a few seconds xx

I get this too, defo anxiety! infact very common in anxiety sufferers!! Dont force yourself to swallow, this is reflex that will come naturally.

Thanks guys! Its so much better knowing its not just me. Im lay in bed scared to sleeo at the min cos i thiught i was seriousy ill or something :/ XO
