Has anyone noticed a connection between Prozac and bladder problems?

Hi Guys, you may have noticed a few other of my posts reegarding my worries about my bladder problems. I have the need to go pee constantly and also have had a dull ache and pressure in my lower abdomen for more then 2 weeks now, I have been taking fluoxetine for 4 weeks now and was wondering if there might be any connection, anyone else experience this?

    HI MVP

I did have a similar side effect with Citalopram and as they are from the same group of antid's i think it could be possible, is it anything about it in your medication leaflat?? My was te worst in fist month then it started to get better.

    Damn it's still going? :(

I've had something similar for a week or so, frequency, urges and a little irritation but not the pain that comes with uti. I think mine is caused by thrush though, I've been taking garlic tablets and eating yoghurt, drinking lots of water and cutting out soda and its been getting better.

I'm pretty sure mine has something to do with hormonal imbalance, quite a lot of my hair had been falling out, my periods were weird e.t.c can make more susceptible to thrush e.t.c

Did those exercises someone recommend before help at all? Any more plans for the doctors?

I know this is an old thread but I thought I would say that I did have bladder issues with Prozac and actually had to end up getting off of it. It was causing me to not be able to empty my bladder so I kept getting UTI's, but I had no symptoms. It was found by accident.

My mom takes Prozac and has bladder issues as well, though hers are going very, very often.
