Thread: The beginning of the end?

    The beginning of the end?

    Evening everyone : )

Thought I would introduce myself after tentatively joining this forum last night. Ive lived with high anxiety for years although only recognised what it was about 5 years ago. Ive really started working on myself in the last few months and have decided to combat this awful condition, rather than letting it overtake my life.

So Im having weekly CBT, im on a slow-release of propanol and Im really trying to look after myself a bit better. This forum is going to be my release place instead of trying to talk to people around me who dont understand.

Im 35, from Cornwall, a busy working mum of three with a partner and a dog. My life is consistently hectic....

    So Hi

Welcome to the forum. There are so many positive things in your post such as your desire to get better and beat this. And yes this forum is a great place to talk about your problems, no-one judges you here, there's lots of people going through the same, and even if people can't help they can still give re-assuring words

    Hi Sassysharon!

Ive also just joined this forum (also quite tentatively)! Ive just started CBT sessions to try and help me with my high anxiety/panic attack-type episodes (had my first session last week).... Im in Dorset so not a million miles away! Nice to know that we are not alone!

Re: The beginning of the end?

    Hiya sassysharon,
, I too live in sunny old cornwall (sorry rainy old cornwall)
Trying to combat anxiety and panic disorder is hard to do on ones own as
I am finding out only have my wife to talk to about it and sometimes the doctor.
But I should know better but i seem to spend most off my days locked-up in the safe haven of my house and try to self treat.
You meet so great people on here with some solid advice.

    Chris
