Left sided pain - IBS? Please help.

Hi there everyone.

I wonder if anyone could give me any advice/reassurance?

I've suffered with IBS since my 20's. Over the past year I've been experiencing lots of discomfort in my left hand side. It feels like a fullness and is above my hip but round to the back a bit. This can also radiate into my left ovary area and also my left hip. It kinda feels like my whole left hand side is blocked (if that makes sense)?

I'm abroad at the moment and wont be able to see my dr for another 5 weeks which is making my HA really bad so I am focussing on every little pain. And now I am worried that I have some kinda of tumour or blockage in my bowls.

I am now desperate to get home and see my dr and I know that I will be a nightmare for the next 5 weeks.

Has anyone experienced anything like this with IBS? Any advice/reassurance would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Just an idea. Have you had an ultrasound recently/tested for gallstones...this can be extremely painful on the left and can radiate around the back...maybe worth checking?

I had left sided pain for a couple of months over a year ago and after all the tests it was diagnosed as ibs, which did get better x
