massive one just crawled over my bed! i think i have just pooped my pants! my housemate had to deal with it whilst i hid in the bathroom. why is it that no matter who it is and even though I know they wouldn't, I am convinced that my rescuer will throw it at me? does anyone else think this

Its the fear talking thats all. As you fear of them You feel they will get you or soemthing bad will happen. ie being thrown at you.

I know I can understand your fear as I was scared of them..... Till I thought past the fear.

YES!!!!

I have many times been reduced to a quivering wreck when I've believed my so called rescuer will turn on me and scare me!!

A colleague of mine knows of my fear and taunted me with a dried out tarantula in a photo frame the other day! I shrieked in his face and ran away!!

I hate 'em too. And I'm all grown up and a bloke. Had a 'rescuer' torment me with a whopper when I was a kid. Didn't help at all.

Haha I hate spiders too. The worst ones for me are harvestmen - though they are not technically spiders, but another type of arachnid. Makes me shiver just thinking about them...

oo yeah harvest men are wierd! i hate daddy long legs too.
The worst one for me though was the huntsman in australia, we had to camp quite alot and the fear of them was always in the back of my mind!
