Hi I've posted a couple of times regarding my extreme anxiety about vcjd.this is a hugefear
that is consuming my every thought.I have had anxiety and mild depression symptoms for 3 months now.inexorably the first symptoms is anxiety and depression,but surely it wouldprogressed onto physical symptoms by now?I'm that desperate I feel like ringing the help line fear

Hi,

I used to have this fear of vCJD. We both know that if this fear goes, you'll get stuck on some other disease, but I will tell you what helped me and maybe you can at least get a little break before your mind latches onto something else.

What helped me was discovering Mark Purdey. He believed BSE cannot be transmitted to humans from cows and dedicated his life to proving it was all nonsense. It's quite in-depth stuff but it got rid of my vCJD obsession for good.

Hi thank you so much for your reply.this. is taking over my life....so sad.did u imagine symptoms when u worried about it?I have very tingly limbs at the min and am really concerned.....

I didn't imagine symptoms with this one, but have imagined symptoms for pretty much everything else at the moment I'm in a neurologial/muscle bubble and feel like I'm all weak though I'm not. It's normal! All it means is that you care about yourself and want a long, happy and healthy life.
