IMIPRAMINE new start for me

after a fair old go on anafranil( 3 months) my lovely psch doctor is stating me on IMIPRAMINE which I am told is the first antidepressant developed after the war and still one of the most effective

hi Frankie isnt imipramine anafranil? I was on anafranil for years and came off them to go on a newer antidepressant (SSRI Cipralex) While I was on anafranil I went down to 75mg which is a low dose for that medication and still seemed ok. The Cipralex seems ok but, I stopped drinking about 3 years ago and now I do go for a drink about once a week. I enjoy going for my drink but after only one or two drinks I feel so Ill and sort of drunk, but not drunk in a nice way. Doc said its ok to have a drink while on Cipralex and there is nothing about avoiding alcohol on the read up. But I never felt this way after one drink on anafranil. Anafranil is an old medication but I am thinking strongly about going back on them. Take care thanks for listening to me. Vernon.

I have sent you a message vern, imipramine is called tofranil

Oh yes clomipramine is anafranil, was on them years and always got mixed up with the two names. Anafranil are an old med too, didnt yoy get on with them?
