Hi everyone

I'm a newbie... Please to meet u all.. I was prescribed beta blocker bisoprolol 2.5mgs for anxiety... Really scared to take them could you let me know if you take them have they helped and do you get any symptoms with them

I have a thyroid prob and would be anxious now and again

My auntie in Indonesia has a hypertension and one of her medication is Bisoprolol.

I am not sure if it could help with anxiety.

All I know, in 1994 I was given at first Tenormin 50mg ( Atenolol), and was told by my GP that I only take it once a day, as it has a long half life in body.
But, it didn't really seem to help.

So he changed it to Inderal ( Propranolol) 40mg, to take twice a day.
He explain it works better, as it crosses the Blood Brain Barrier, while Atenolol doesn't, but Atenolol advantage is only its long half life, so once daily dose is enough.
