ANyone else got a boyf/ OH who sticks their head in the sand?

Must be wonderful to live life with your head firmly stuck in the sand! My boyf head is always buried.

If life isn't going right - ignore it! If it gets even shittier ignore it more!

    Sound philosophy - not

Have an arguement - and pretend it never happened!

Yes. Mine forgot we were going out. I reminded him and he said probably not. Has avoided me all summer since. I feel your pain.

I can say I as a guy suffering with mental issues, that I must drive my g/f up the wall by not opening up or wishing to talk. I feel like I don't want to burden her with my problems which she has played no part in causing. I am not sure about the other side of the fence being a guy that needs to be strong for someone else.

don't get me wrong he has been great and stood by me through think and thin - even the I can't be arsed to have sex phase. But he still annoys me!!

As someone who has had therapy and can see the benefits of talking about problems - he just really winds me up!

Ah well - true loves a bitch x

My BF is sulking because I asked him if he had sent his CV (which my sister wrote for him) to apply for some suitable job vacancies which I found for him online. I might sound like a nag but he just buries his head in the sand (or the XBox) and assumes that if he ignores everything a job will mysteriously appear for him.

He thinks that he needs some counselling to help him to face up to things, and I agree, but he hasn't heard anything about it since he was referred by his GP a year ago and again he hasn't bothered to chase it up. I'm afraid that he only went in the first place to get me back, as he'd finished with me then changed his mind. We've been through this break-up, empty-promises cycle before and like a mug I keep believing him.

Wow, that really turned into a rant, sorry!
