Thread: Gonna keep a record here of my citalopram journey!

Re: Gonna keep a record here of my citalopram journey!

    Hi all,
I'm new to this site. It has given me hope that the citalopram may just help me. I am in week five and not doing particularly well due to debilitating fatigue but your posts have spurned me on and I'm still hopeful that I'll get there.
Just wanted to say that I really enjoy Martins ( ?) banter. Thank you for making me laugh. No easy thing at the moment I assure you!
Going to write about my citalopram experiences in a few weeks but just wanted to check that this actually works.

    wk 19 day 2 0g cit withdrawing

    Hi peeps

Well today is a big day which I've been preparing for, so away from forum a lot. Really sorry not to be joining in the fun.
I know you will have missed me - who wouldn't let's face it?

[ALiG voice] Hope you is all doing good [/ALiG voice]
hmm doesn't really work does it.

Will be getting back into the swing tomorrow I suspect.

Can I still come on this forum if I don't take cit any more?
I have been coming down in dose steadily over the last month, and other then than dizziness and brain zaps am fine. Not as bad I expected.
and over the last month have lost a stone and a half, so cit has certainly been a key player in my weight gain.

Anyway must go for now - my work at ITV is now in the last few weeks and that's sad as have been there 25 years, and also unnerving as it's become part of me I think. So learning to let go - but not easy.

Jo - how are you doing? morning anxiety better?
Yvonne - passed your driving test yet?
    come on giz an update!

Suffice it to say I am wearing a suit today.
Yes me - a nice new shiny one, and a new shirt, AND new shoes.
So am looking all dapper and gorge!
Well - always did of course - but it beats jeans and sweatshirt and trainers.

More info tomorrow - just got to go and do my hair.
    It's a man thing!

    Hey Martin,

Missed your posts and your jokes...glad you doing o.k and the weight is excellent well done!! Must be so hard with your job, i would be the same as I have worked for my company for getting on for 30 years (but did break my service after having my son) so currently up to 18 years properly.

I am sure that you can still post on here if not taking meds cos you are a help to people anyhow so carry on...wouldn't be the same without you.

I have been really struggling again Martin and am trying so hard to just get on with it. It is still the morning thing, sometimes it goes quickly than other times it lingers for alot of the day. I am waiting for my concelling sessions to come up and hope they will make a difference, am not sure that the mirtazipine is the right meds for me but at this moment in time am not prepared to start messing with the meds incase I totally nose dive again. We live in hope, and am just getting on with it, I have no choice.

    Anyhow, nice to catch up.

    Take care

    Hi Martin,

Haven't posted on this thread, but I have been reading it (little by little). Good to hear you're coming off the meds! I wish you the best of luck. I was off mine for a while as well, but it didn't quite work out for me... I must not have found the key to healing yet. Oh well! I'm still young and hasty, I must have moved too quickly.

Please do stay around and share your story with the newcomers. Your blog is very inspirational, and your wit is one-of-a-kind. It's great to see your writing on various threads.

    doing great so far peeps.

Can tell you all now - I GOT THE JOB - passed with flying colours!
    Great references and very pleased!

Also just finished a 7 day water fast so have been slightly hungry - but feel better for it.

So, winding down at ITV now, and ready to start a new role which I won't be saying much more about.

Not being on any pills is quite liberating - but what a journey eh??

gotto go - something calls -

    back later.
    maybe even with a joke
