Trouble Swallowing

In the past few days I've had terrible trouble swallowing my medications. One tablet in particular for high blood pressure always seems to stick in my throat.

This morning was particularly bad and it felt like it was burning me no matter how much water I drank. Eventually managed to make some toast and got it down by eating the toast.

Anyone else have this problem or know why it should come on suddenly?

Globus and difficulty swallowing is very common with anxiety, has anything happened recently to trigger your anxiety more? You could have swallowed the pill a little wrong and now you're feeling it getting "stuck" or scratch in your mind.

Is it just pills or with food also?

In any case if it persists or particularly worries you just see your GP

My anxiety is fairly new and I don't really know very much about associated symptoms.

It seems to be mostly pills that I have problems with. The toast trick works but I am aware of something coating my throat that wasn't there before. Is that globus??

Sorry if I'm sounding silly but I really don't know anything about this.
