Wisdom tooth blunder - exposed dentin

I have been suffering with an ulcer on my cheek for 6 weeks because the wisdom tooth is rubbing against it and biting my cheek when I eat.

today the dentist has reduced the size of the tooth without anaesthetic. He kept drilling more and more then I had a huge pain in the the tooth and jaw as if he hit s nerve. the dentist decided to stop after I screamed in pain!

I enquirer if the tooth will now be more sensitive but he said he didn't go to the dentin layer.

Does anyone know what would cause the pain? I am so worried I will now need a filling in the tooth and he has messed it up. The atmosphere in the surgery after it happened was really bad. Should I make a complaint?

He has also cut my cheek and my jaw is aching where he had to pull my mouth open so wide to get to the tooth.
