different brands of meds

Hi I'm back after a few years away and I have a question regarding meds.Does anyone else have a problem with different brands of their meds ? every time I get a new version of mine (citalopram) I have a few days of anxiety..I thought it was me or 'that time of the month' (sorry guys) but I'm pretty sure now it is the brand change, I only get it when I have a different one.So next time I will ask my gp to make sure I get the same brand .

Hi Jan,Im on citalopram and have had quite a few different brands.I havent had any problems with them at all.

Hi Jan... me too on the citalopram but i have, so far, had the same brand so i don't know if it will effect me.... funnily enough tho when i waiting for my last refil at chemists there was a guy talking to the pharmacist about the same problem.. i don't know what meds he was on ...cos i was trying not to appear too nosey (even tho i am ).. but i know he was having the exact same problems you have had..the pharmacist did say that some people did find that it was a problem for them although he said it had never been medically proven but he said exactly what you have said.. that is, to ask his doc to specify a particular brand on his next refil and they would try and make sure they supplied them.... so in short i haven't experienced this problem yet but i don't think you are alone.....

Hi again Jan,I was talking to my dad this morning and he said it could have something to do with them having a different coating on them.
