Blood Pressure machine counting too many heart beats (sometimes)

    Hey everyone,

I was wondering if the following happened to anyone else and if it was "normal". It doesn't make me panic but I'm just curious to know if this is an isolated case.

I have this home BP machine (BIOS Diagnostics, BD100) I use to take my blood pressure, but sometimes, the pulse rate is reading higher than my actual pulse rate. I hear it in the beeps (extra beeps between pulses which I feel because I have the cuff) and in the end result with the display.

My BP itself displays correctly (my usual ranges) but then the pulse is something like 182 when it's actually 106. And before anyone mentions anything, yes, 106 can sometimes be my resting rate, I'm known to sometimes have sinus tachycardia.

Does this happen to anyone else? The higher pulse than actual pulse, that is.

EDIT: Worth mentioning that this does not happen all the time, most times it beeps & displays the correct pulse.
