I appear to have multiple of them. Some on my legs, some on my arms. I know in the vast majority of cases they are perfectly benign, and occur as an autoimmune response for reasons unknown.

Halo Nevi are where the immune system selects moles to destroy for some reason, and causes the pigment/melanocytes to be attacked/lost in the affected area, giving the appearance of a halo around a nevus.

Now, it's quite a similar process to vitiligo (loss of pigment) and I know vitiligo can occur when a person is under stress/anxiety. I'm curious if anyone has ever heard of HN also being caused by stress? It would just help me make sense of why it is happening now on such a grand scale.
