Sorry - High BP Again

Ok. I restarted amitryptline 3 weeks ago to try and help my depression and teeth clenching at night

The pains in my teeth have just began to ease but now my bp is all over the place this afternoon 129/81 and now it is 156/95

Should i be concerned or do i take the lower reading of he 3 when i test it

it has always orried me when my bp gets raised. sorry to ak for reassurance but i cant find my old thread

can someone advise when is best to take BP nd what not to do or what to do before hand

Take your BP when at rest. Ie after you have been sat for a few mins. If your worried please see your GP

yup busters right the gps the best bet for you,,but as i know myself,,when i became bp obsessed,,id be taking it upto 6 or 7 times a day,,and of course the more you take it,,the more orried you become sending your bp through the roof,,try not doing it for a while,,relax read a book or listen to music,,then try,,but if you still have a high reading id get yourself to the doctors,,take care x

Your blood pressure changes all day and will go up after eating for example.

Don't get obsessed over it to be honest.

Has your doctor asked you to take it at home?

he did months and months ago but then said it was ok

i since have moved to spain so not easy to see drs here as cost a frtune but it was 138/84 this morning then 150/100 2 hours later

So what were you doing different when taking the two readings and just before?

Is this an arm monitor or a wrist one?

Has it been calibrated with the doctor's own readings at all?

sorry for late reply - it is a wrist monitor and he got me to bring it in before to check it was similar readings to his

had a few days of normal 130/8 but back up for 3 days to 148/90
