High blood pressure weak heart

Hi

My anxiety is giving my high blood pressure and an irregular heart rhythm.
I'm so ashamed. Does anybody else feel like their heart is weak?

Don't feel ashamed that is part of the anxiety and if you can accept what you are feeling you will start to breakdown the horrible cycle. I have similar and having had a 5 month reprieve, a few weeks ago it's back again. The palpitations are awful and the more we are of them the worse they become. Like you, I felt I couldn't discuss what was going on but having the support on here and my doctor it does help. I am back on propranolol which did help me last time and many people take it and stay on it. There are good threads on here so take time to read and if you haven't discussed with your doctor, then you must get that sorted. Anxiety is horrendous but the more we can understand it then we can get to some relief.

When calm my bp and pulse are really good. Which makes it even more annoying as I'm doing it to myself. I feel trapped in a cycle. I need therapy as I feel oveewhwlemed I guess.
