In before anybody else mentions Dennis Waterman. He was an irredeemable turd who actively advocated for beating women if, in his own words, they were too intelligent. So glad that this dinosaur is gone.

Sorry to digress, but wasn't 'Little Britain' on the box around the time of the expression 'Broken Britain' was at its pinnacle?

He was, and he unapologetically beat his gorgeous, articulate wife. I'm an atheist and I don't believe he's gone anywhere, but the fact he's gone is more than good enough for me. He and Sean Connery were both canonised in popular culture (Connery more), but they were hateful *******s.

I hate the way these people are always eulogised in death. No matter what they've done. Connery was a dreadful man.

He was, he was a shameful individual - who cares what films he made when he thought he had the right to hit anybody physically weaker than him?

I bet when Mr N who worked at the residential school I attended back in the 80s who was very slap-happy and shout-happy, finally kicks the bucket (if he hasn't already yet done so by now), it will never get a jot of media attention, despite him making the lives of both myself and other kids there hell on a regular basis.
