Any thoughts on Sertraline please?

I have just been suggested by my GP to take Sertraline for my anxiety which is causing me to have more panic attacks and heart palpitations etc.

Does anyone have any comments on these please??

If you go to the medication section, you can see a list of most meds. I'm sure Sertraline is there.
Click on it and all sorts of posts will come up about its use and people experience with it.

I know someone who has just come off it. It was fine her anx but it did cause weight gain which isn't helpful.

Thank you. I have read a lot about it and the side effects have heightened my anxiety I can’t go with them at the moment I have real anxiety around medication and side effects �� this isn’t easy is it ..

They’re only temporary. For me they lasted a little less than a week. Once I got through them sticking with it was the best decision I ever made.

I am in the same boat, I have panic attacks and heightened anxiety and not sure if i can cope with the extra anxiety on top, Have you thought about starting at a lower dose?
