Just had the weirdest sensation head rush

Hi guys,

So I’m just sitting here looking down at my phone. I coughed and it instantly felt like I got a quick head rush and I felt slightly dizzy as if I was going to fall over but caught myself before it happened.

Only lasted a couple seconds but made me so scared my heart started racing!

Anyone had this before?

Very normal! It could just be bc you weren't breathing in enough during the cough, and coughing can cause a temporary drop in blood pressure, which can make you feel dizzy. It's the same mechanism that causes us to "see stars" after a particularly strong sneeze! Since I started taking a course of propranolol, which lowers blood pressure, I get this all the time. Drinking lots of water might help and make sure to just have something to grab on to.

I just got a slight head rush sitting here looking at my computer. Couple of them actually. They come at the most random of times and I hate it. I've noticed lately that they come if I'm scrolling on my phone or scrolling on the computer. I wonder if that has something to do it?
