I have been more disciplined with the time I get up in the morning. I think that's definitely more important than worrying about the time I go to bed. If I have a day when I am knackered because I was daft & stayed up late, well, perhaps I can use that as motivation to go to bed earlier. So I had best be off to bed now. Work trip tomorrow & the forecast says there cud b snow. Need extra time to get where I am going. Night all.

Yeah, its a useful cognitive process. There is no reason it won't work unless you have an obsessional issue with going to bed later & later, like me, in which case its a bit more problematic.

Why not keep a mood diary? Record your sleep times and how you felt the next morning. Then when you start to see that you crappy starts are always due to going bed too late, perhaps it will sink in CBT style?

    Night Tessar.

In this regard.... nothing has changed; I still doss on the sofa and think to myself I should be going to bed. He he. Maybe that's just how I am :-)

    Hi Tessar,

I went to bed early last night, early for me was 11.30pm, I woke up at 5am this morning, that no good for me. I'll need to go to bed a little later, so that I get up a little later. plus I also go to sleep when I'm tired, I still manage to get up early in the morning.
