Can the morning after pill affect your whole cycle?

Hi everyone so I had unprotected sex last month and took the morning after pill the following day. I got my period on the 24th of may and it was normal. But this month my period just won’t start!!! It’s giving me so much stress and worry I wake up everyday expecting it and it’s not there and I just want to scream. It’s givig me so much anxiety and panic and taking up so much of my mental space I’m drained before the day even begins. So basically my question is, can the morning after pill affect your period cycle even though the month you took it for you got your period on time? I’m so confused

Absolutely. The pill makes you shed whatever lining is there at the moment. It takes another full cycle or more to get back on track. No worries!

Thank you so much for your reply. That actually makes so much sense! But if it doesn’t come at all should I go to the drs? Coz I’m not pregnant I know that for sure coz I’ve done tests and I think I’d know by now lol

I’d wait until you see if you had a period in July before going to the doctor. You may miss the cycle entirely or it may come a little bit early in July. Your entire date is about to change as far as cycle time.
