UGH at your ex Jason, but -whether she likes it or not - the girls are the best gift she could have given you, and your bond with them is utterly unbreakable.
In a few very short years they will be making decisions and deciding for themselves and you will have birthday cards from them , even if they are hand made xx

Yes, I have enjoyed my time with them, but it did make me feel quite sad that she couldn't make the effort on their behalf.

Its not about her, and its not about me. It is about them being able to share and be a part of the celebration.

I dont want them growing up feeling like birthdays arent an important thing.

Anyway... *sigh*

I'm getting that feeling where I want to leave the country again.

Believe me, your daughters will always know that birthdays are important. Your ex should have got something for them to give you but she didn't for whatever reason..Let's not make any excuses for her-it's very poor.

I'm sure you won't do the same thing when it's her birthday and your girls will learn from your example. Don't leave the country!!You're a Very Important Dad no matter how many presents/cards you do or don't get!

I saw your vlog when you purchased & wrapped presents for your ex's birthday. What a shame that you didn't even receive a card for yours. Very poor.
