5 weeks pregnant please help!

I'm sure some babies are smaller or grow slower than others.

Hello all,

Had a call from the nurse at the Early Pregnancy unit this morning regarding my blood test results. My HCG level was 8,500 with she said was quiet high. She said that the scan I had yesterday was too early thats why there wasnt anything to see but a sac.

She said I dont need to have another blood test tomorrow because the level was ok and it isnt an ectopic.

She has asked me to go for another scan next wednesday so hopefully I will see something more then. Fingers crossed as this baby is more that wanted.

Hi, thank you for your message. The nearer Wednesday comes the more nervous I am starting to get as I'm dreading having the scan and there isn't anything there again just the sac. I should be 5 weeks from conceiving and 7 weeks since last period.

I'll post on there wednesday how the scan goes. I guess there is a reason why scans are at 12 weeks now.
I'm not having hardly any symptoms. I am a bit sensitive to smells and dizzy some times but I haven't any morning sickness and don't know if I should be feeling more pregnant?

Hello all.
The update is that I had a scan yesterday which still showed an empty sac. They took another lot of blood test which I find out the reslut today.
The nurse said she doesn't expect this pregnancy to continue much longer and to expect some bleeding. I am absolutely devestated.
They also found a small cyst on one of my ovaries and a fibroid which I'm worried abut as they didn't explain if they were dangerous.
I was in shock to think of asking.
